Overview
evo note is a local-first note-taking app for iPhone and iPad. The app stores notes and app state on your device and can optionally connect to external services that you choose to configure.
Data Stored On Device
The app stores the following data locally on device:
- Notes you create and edit
- Evidence, feed, and analysis state generated by the app
- RSS source settings you add
- App preferences and model selections
Provider API keys entered in the app are stored in the iOS Keychain.
External Network Requests
evo note can make network requests in the following cases:
- To fetch RSS feeds from feed URLs configured by you
- To open linked articles in an in-app browser
- To query external AI providers if you enter an API key and enable those workflows
- To perform web lookups used by note evidence and source gathering flows
These requests depend on the features you use and the settings you enable.
Notifications
If you enable feed notifications, evo note may deliver local notifications on your device when newly fetched RSS items are found.
Background Refresh
If you enable background feed refresh, evo note may refresh configured RSS feeds in the background.
Data Sharing
evo note does not require an account. The app does not provide a built-in social profile or public sharing network.
When you configure third-party AI providers or fetch third-party RSS and web sources, the data needed for those requests is sent to the relevant external service so the feature can work.
Your Choices
- Use the app only for local note editing
- Disable automation features
- Disable feed notifications
- Disable background refresh
- Remove RSS sources
- Delete app data by removing the app from your device
